1) A processor on the net work that is between the Real Time System’s processor and the cluster controllers at the remote site. The CFE is responsible for communicating with and polling the cluster controllers. When it is polled by the real time system, it responds with the data gathered from the CCs. 2) A computer system that controls the transfer of data from the cluster controller to the central system.
